Asheville Council OKs 186-unit Long Shoals Project on Lake Julian


ASHEVILLE – A 186-device progress is coming to Lake Julian’s northern shores in Arden, bringing new residences to Extended Shoals Street, 37 of which will be deeded economical at 80% of the spot median revenue.

Asheville Town Council unanimously approved the task at its July 26 meeting.

Located at 221 Very long Shoals Street, the 5.36-acre parcel will hold 186 residences and group room in three condominium buildings, just south of Valley Springs Middle and Charles T. Koontz Intermediate educational institutions.

Along with the conditional zoning ask for, City Council also approved a Land Use Incentive Grant for the progress, giving a $1.5 million town subsidy in trade for its 37 affordable housing models.
