SOUTH BEND — A brand-new building and individual rooms for most citizens could be on the way for Portage Manor as the county home’s board seeks to switch the facility’s funds all over by becoming Medicaid compliant and qualified for the federal dollars that occur with it. 

The board on Thursday recognized a preliminary style for a new constructing from an architecture agency, although users acknowledged they want to acquire a much more concrete economic plan in advance of obtaining acceptance from the St. Joseph County Council to go forward.
